Week 18 Weigh In

14st 4.5lbs.

Lost 2lbs and it is totm. Well chuffed!

I was sure I was going to have a small loss or a gain, had a few items which were over points, must have burned them off at work.

I was looking at my measurements today, and I have lost 18cm around my waist since I started, how cool is that?

Week 17 Weigh In

14st 6.5lbs. I lost 1.5 lbs, just 1 lb needed to get back to where I was.

I must say, I feel like I am struggling to focus lately, maybe I need a new goal.

Week 14 Weigh In

14st 6lbs

I put on 0.5lb, which I am ok with, was expecting worse after the crap I ate this week, TOTM is not good for a diet lol!

Got a wedding to go to on thursday, and got a pretty dress, so going to be extra good for the next few days, not sure how I will cope this weekend without weeklies, but will try.

TOTM cravings

Its TOTM and I have had huge chocolate cravings and no self control. Plus I have been having a crap time at work, because nothing wants to go right, so emotional eating kicks in too.

Week 13 Weigh In

Lost 2lbs!!

Now 14st 5.5lbs.
Was well chuffed with that! Getting back into exercise felt so good this week, and my back feels absolutely fine. Might even try starting 30 day shred again.

I have however realised I cant eat like I used to, went to london yesterday for a trip to see Ghost the musical at picadilly theatre (which was really good!) and I ate my usual going to london crap, but firstly I only managed half of what I normally would have eaten, and then proceeded to be sick last night because my body couldnt deal with the crap anymore. I had used my normal dailies plus 45 of my weeklies all in one day, and had the same reaction last time I did that, so going to put a limit on the weeklies, only allowed a maximum of 30 weeklies in one given day. That should work better.

Back and exercise update

Back is feeling mostly better, I havent had any pain killers for a day and a half and havent been in pain. I tried the exercise bike on sunday and then a zumba dvd last night, and my back seemed ok, so carrying on with those exercises for rest of week.
Cant believe it but I was really happy to be doing exercise.

Week 12 Weigh In

Stayed the same again with 14st 7.5lbs.
I went over points on wednesday (probably by quite a bit), and still missing exercise, I think I definately have a metabolism that needs the exercise boost. I annoying pulled a different back muscle (or at least i think/am hoping that it was a muscle) on tuesday, just after the other was feeling healed.

Will I able to do exercise this week? I will give something light a go tonight I think. Hopefully I can.

On a plus side, I did lose 1cm around my waist, not sure if that is fat or just tightening up of muscle from my strengthening exercises, but it is still 1cm.

Week 11 Weigh In

I stayed the same with 14st 7.5lbs.

Glad it wasnt a gain after falling off track several times, I guess I still need to work on the unplanned temptation factor when other people are tempting, ie going to a festival, dad making cakes, friends wanting to go to the pub for lunch, etc. At least I seem to have learned to control it enough that I didnt fall completely off the wagon and kept it to those times. I guess thats an improvement for me, in the past I would have been bad once and then just lost control for the rest of the week, and would have had a huge gain, and maybe given up with the diet, but I am back on track now.

Its all a learning curve. At least I am still living life.

Oh! and I am really missing exercise, that probably didnt help. My back is feeling a lot better now though. Not completely healed yet, but a lot better. I am going to try seeing if it will be ok with some zumba (dvd) because I dont think that would put much pressure on my back? Wont push it too hard though.

Week 10 Weigh In

14st 7.5lbs, I have lost a pound.

Pretty pleased with that as it was totm and I ate over my weeklies by about 15 points and my back played up and went really bad, so havent done any exercise.

With regards to my bad, I ended up going to see the doctor as it was so bad the other night I was struggling to breathe due to the pain. He prescribed me pain killers, told me some stretches to do first thing when I wake up and a couple of time during the day, and told me to try to stay mobile.
So far, my back is feeling better than it has in quite a while and I think it might actually get better properly this time. Hopefully with the weight loss, that should be a problem I wont have to worry about in the future.

Nails bitten to death

My poor nails! Since I have been dieting, I have substituted my snacking habit with nail biting.

I have always bitten my nails but not as badly as lately, they have taken quite a hit.

I must have a need to have something in my mouth as a distraction?
Like those plastic stick things smokers use when they want to quit but miss the feel of a cigarette?

Oh well, I don't mind having shorter nails for a while if it that is what it takes to get my weight correct.

Maybe I need a hobby?

I ate too much

The BBQ was great, but I think I ate too much. I think the weeklies cover it, but my digestive system is not liking it, oh dear!

At least I will do a lot of activity at work today.

I suppose I better be as good as gold for the rest of the week.

So worn out!

I feel so tired! We are really busy at work at the moment, I have done an extra hour for the last 2 days and prob will do so rest of week also. (will definately be claiming the overtime, so at least extra good).
I have been running around all day, my feet are aching. Please take pity on me, hehe.
I dont feel like doing exercise, but I think I have done enough all day.
Need to rest...

Week 7 Weigh in

14st 11lbs

lost 1.5lbs, only 0.5lbs more and holiday gain will be gone. Very happy with that, what I put on over 2 weeks, I will lose over 2 weeks.

Now for a treat day! double iced doughnut and fish foot spa.

But just wanted to say dont worry, I loved doing the exercise and would have done more if my mum wasnt being so ratty, just think I need a few goes for my muscles to get used to it.

Plan A failed, so started Plan B

After day 1 of the 30 day shred, I was very achy up to today, I still have a tiny bit of an acche. I decided to have the monday off because I was so achy, plus I was shattered after my 1st day back at work after 2 weeks off.
Then, yesterday my mum complained that I would be disrupting her tv shows, apparently she is no longer interested in exercising with me like she claimed to be before I started.
So today, I found the same problem, and decided in the end to go on my exercise bike which is in a different room, so I would at least get some exercise.
Plan A: follow 30 day shred everyday- failed
Plan B: get at least 3 nights of exercise a week, in whatever form. With 30 day shred at least 1 of those days.- Started.

Day 1 of 30 Day Shred

I brought the "30 Day Shred" exercise DVD by Jillian Michaels
(Biggest loser personal trainer- for australia and usa).

It is an intense 20 minute workout, with 3 levels to chose between.

I just performed my first day of 20 minutes and I am knackered. Think I will be in pain tomorrow, and probably the rest of the rest aswell, hope it is worth it, I have heard some good reviews about using it.

It was a gain of 1.5lbs, but it was because I went on holiday and didnt track, and was totally worth it.
Pretty chuffed that it wasnt more to honest.

No week 7 weigh in, on holiday

I'm going on holiday to Spain tomorrow so there will be no posts for a week, including no weigh in on saturday.

My plan is to try to pick healthy foods, but I want to enjoy my holiday, so will have the odd treat aswell, and then I will go back onto plan when I get back.

Week 6 Weigh In

14 st 10.5lbs.

So a loss of 1 lb.
I'm pretty happy with that.
I also measured and had a 1cm loss around waist this week, but I lost 3cm from area under my breasts, and nothing from hips, it really does come off weirdly.

Exams over and feeling dodgy

I had my last exam today which means I can now breathe. Feeling a little odd that I dont have to revise tonight, after 2 weeks of revising. Need to remember what I did before lol. More time for exercise i suppose.

I had diarrheoa this morning and have felt dodgy all day since, I still ate because it stopped, but had a lot of wind rumbling about. Not sure if it was a period symptom (cos that happens sometimes) or a bug I might has caught off my neice as she has a gastroenteritis bug.

Wonder what weigh in will be like tomorrow...

Its that time of the month

Ok, any men that start reading this, you may not want to read further, infact that goes to females aswell if you dont like the topics of (whispers) periods.
Its that time of the month where the womb decides to shred its inside. Its actually the 2nd time since starting, but considering last time was easter week and there was lots of chocolate, it wasnt going to show much difference.

So far I havent had any cravings, usually I get them really badly for chocolate or sugar or on the rarer ocassions crisps. I am taking this as a good thing and that maybe I am giving my body the right nutrients, but will have to see with future months.

Im also not as in pain as normal, not sure if thats a diet thing or just a lucky month but I wanted to note it.
I did however get a killer headache when it started.

5 Weeks in

I have been following weightwatchers propoints for 5 weeks with a current loss so far of 11.5lbs.I have decided that it would be beneficial for me to write about my experiences losing weight and any issues or insight I come up with.
You never know, it may help someone else aswell.

I started on 16th April 2011 at a weight of 15st 9lbs.
Currently at 14st 11.5lbs.

With a height of only 5ft, that places me as very obese, and unfit and unhealthy.

I will be updating my weight every saturday.

I will succeed!
